Description:
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. Our annual January voyage to the Great White North this year reaped more rewards than any trip prior. But easily at the top of our incredibly long list of special creatures we were able to get gathered is the “007 Went Buck” – and thanks to an eventful fuel stop in South Dakota, CARIBOU LOU even found his name! We have wanted to incorporate Poke The Bear ever since we laid eyes on him in Garden City. Poke The Bear’s mom and Carry The Boats’ mom are sisters to my favorite wether goat of all time and we hope to get as much of that blood in them as quick as we can.
CARIBOU LOU represents all of PTB’s fur, width, and extreme show-winning pieces while being backed by the most steadfast maternal lines in the business on the bottom side. This is an interesting animal to study. Cage is radically round and bold, yet shallow. Blade length and angle are correct, neck set WILD. Rump and pin are gigantic. All of the above attributes standardly correlate to rougher built, tighter moving stock. But not CARIBOU, his toes point perfectly forward, joints are smooth and square. Don’t think it’s possible? We like his video better than his picture, please check it out. We are firm believers that the unique ones should take your breath away. On our hunt for show winners this past January we found one – “Bernie, that’s a Billy goat!” We cannot thank our friends at Went Show Goats enough for allowing us to partner on CARIBOU LOU and stand him at stud in Good Hope.
